Update to Fifty-five in February (19)

I shared my mission of getting rid of 55 things last week, and I thought I'd share a little update on the process.

My older daughter's school requires uniforms, and they also allow parents to bring in used uniforms and resell them very cheaply. We are donating a few pants and shorts that no longer fit.

In addition, like so many parents, we ended up with waaay more baby clothes than Isabelle could ever need. We are packing up and saving the majority of her clothes in case another little girl happens to join our family one day, but we still have excess beyond what we're choosing to save.
Luckily, one of the girls I used to work with is expecting a little girl, so hopefully she'll be able to use some of our extras. I'll be taking them to her first, and then anything she doesn't want will make the trip to Goodwill.

Between the school clothes and the baby clothes, my count is currently at: 19 items.

I better get busy!

  1. I'm with you on having too many baby clothes, but I'm hoping the next will be a girl too, so I'm hanging on to it :)

  2. I followed your link from your comment.

    I admire your commitment to getting rid of fifty five things. When we moved I finally cut down my jeans collection down, but I sadly must admit that it's grown again since we settled.

    Maybe I should try another clean out. You've put me in the spirit with your enthusiasm.

  3. 19 is pretty darn good! This would be sooo hard for me! I'm a total packrat {and not in a good way!}

    Good luck! <3

  4. My kids are 5 and 4 and I have every single piece of clothing they've ever owned. I really need to go through everything and keep the meaningful things and get rid of the rest!

Thank YOU for reading my blog and leaving me a comment!
