What I Ate Wednesday

Over at Peas&Crayons, Jennifer does a weekly feature called "What I Ate Wednesday" and as you may guess from the title, you just share what you eat Wednesday.

Now, I'm sure no one really cares what I eat any given day. I am not so vain as to think it's exciting or even interesting to anyone. However, I'm CONSTANTLY telling everyone that I eat ALL. THE. TIME. and no one ever believes me, unless they witness it first hand.
So, even though this means I'll be talking a LOT of pictures, I'm going to try and take a picture of everything I eat today and post it on my blog. So here goes!

(I read about joining in on this after I had already started my breakfast. So imagine this bowl completely full instead of half full.)
I'll be honest, I usually eat crap for breakfast. Like, sugary, non-nutritional stuff. But I read that eating oats increases your milk supply (I have no idea if that's really true) so I decided to add some to my diet. I'm not an oatmeal fan, but these overnight oats are great. You use equal parts old fashioned oats, milk and yogurt, stir it up, and store in the fridge overnight. For mine, I used 1/2 each of oats, milk, and vanilla yogurt, a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice and 2 tbsp of maple syrup. It's better than I thought it would be!
And yes, I eat out of little kid bowls, thank you very much :)

Not to worry! My meals may seem small, but that's just cause I'm eating ALL. DAY. LONG. Snacks are not optional, they are ESSENTIAL!
I had every intention of eating all of what was left of that cookie, but it didn't hit the spot. I am very intentional about trying to drink LOTS of water while I'm nursing, so that pink cup is always within reach. Pretzels are Kaylee's favorite snack, and sometimes I have to steal a few. Lastly, this morning I baked some Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread and of course I needed to verify that it was as good as it's always been! (good news, it is!)

About all that's left for tonight is a night-time snack while watching some TV with the hubs. Last night I had a white chocolate chip pumpkin cookie. Sadly, it was my last one :( . Tonight will probably be another piece of Chocolate chip pumpkin bread or ice cream.

Possibly both :)

  1. I thought about doing this, but then I realized that I eat the weirdest stuff, so maybe it isn't the best idea :)

  2. Keep it coming! <3 I thought I commented on this earlier but I must be losing my mind! <3 I added a little thumbnail to my page so there's an image to go with your link! =)

    Have a great day love!

  3. Oats, brown rice and barley are all great for milk supply, so you are correct! The old-fashioned rolled oats are the best, not quick oats so good job!!

  4. Love how you wrote on the photos :)

I'd be hungry after just that little plate of lunch!

  5. I am with Kath - I would have tossed in some pop chips with that lunch! :D

  6. I never knew about oats and milk supply. I usually used fenegreek, even though it made me smell like maple syrup. I remember one time my husband got into the car with me and looked at me all puzzled, asking if I ate pancakes in the car that day. :)

I eat with kids spoons sometimes, but I have yet to use their plates. :)

  7. I know this is an old post, but I'm a new follower and was doing some catching up! Anyway, I noticed your cute cup you used for your water and diet it a reusable cup and straw?? If so, where did you get it? I need something like that to have around all the time so I remember to get all of my water intake, for breastfeeding.

Thank YOU for reading my blog and leaving me a comment!
