Full-fledged Disney World lover

Oh yes. I am one of those people. Those Disney World people. That really do believe it's the happiest place on Earth.

For those of you who are cynical about it, yes, it's hot and humid. Yes, the lines are long. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's over the top. Yes, the crowds can be terrible. Yes, you'll be walking a lot and exhausted at the end of the day. Yes, their "thrill" rides are pretty tame. Yes....I can't think of any other negatives to put here.

But I've been going to Disney World once a year (and many years, more than once) since I was a child, and I love WDW. For me, it's not just about the rides. It's the atmosphere. It's the themeing and attention to detail and just the sheer awesomeness that is Disney World.

I know I'm not the only Disney lover out there (obviously! as they continue to make billions a year!) so I decided I should write a post or two about our Disney love.

For those of you that are hardcore Disney-ers, there is a whole world of websites out there about Disney - Disney food, Disney resorts, Disney "secrets", behind the scenes Disney, etc etc etc.
While I consider myself to be a comprehensive Disney resource, my posts will not be.

Anyway, in the next few days of weeks, you can expect a few Disney posts...a combination of our favorite things, some tips, a few pictures, and more.

 Starting them out early!
Isabelle's first Disney trip at 7 weeks old!

Have you ever been to Disney World? What are your favorite things?

  3. Fun! My family was hardcore Disney-travelling when I was a teen, but I haven't been since our honeymoon in Dec. '02. We're anxious for our little guy's first trip in a couple years, though.

  6. I just stumbled upon your blog because we too are BIG Disney fans and are planning on returning this fall with what will be our 3 yr old son and ~2-3 month old daughter (we're not sure how early she'll make her debut). This will be our son's 3rd trip but the youngest we took him was 14 months. Any tips on taking the itty bitty?

  7. We spent three years in south Georgia and my biggest regret is never going to Disney World. We would have gone for sure if Brendan had been bigger. I loooove some Disney movies!

  9. we went to Disney World once when I was in 6th grade. It was great! Except I remember being HEARTBROKEN because Space Mountain was broken while we were there.
Then during one summer of college I went just to MGM (is that the one with Tower of Terror? I went to whichever park that was). Didn't have the same Disney feel though as the Magic Kingdom!

  11. Would you believe my FIRST trip to Magic Kingdom was just a few years ago?!! (In my 40's!!!!)

I had been to Epcot before...but never Magic Kingdom. (And I hadn't even been to Epcot until I was in my 30's!)

I know...I'll go hang my head in shame now.
