What I'm loving....BB&B edition

I'm usually not a huge Bed Bath & Beyond person. I mean, yes, they have everything you could possibly want for your kitchen, your bed, your bathroom...but to me, these are usually one time buys until you need a replacement. So it's not somewhere I go on a regular basis.

However, I got their mailer this weekend and saw several things I wanted, which is unusual because usually I just quickly peruse the pages and throw it away. But here's some of the things that caught my eye:

Soda Stream

I've seen ads for this for awhile now, and even though I don't think I'd use it all that often, I'm just so intrigued by it. I despise carbonated water (EW!) but love soda, so I think I'd like using the diet soda flavors that they have. The only thing is, with having to buy the flavoring and the CO2 cartridges, I don't know how much cheaper it would be than buying diet Coke from the store. That and the lack of storage area in my kitchen is what's keeping me from buying it. Still looks fun though!

Ninja Blender

I don't know for a fact that the Ninja blender is a quality blender (no one I know owns one) but in reading online, I've seen it compared to the Vita Mix. While I'm sure it's no Vita Mix (notice the $300 price difference!) if it were similar in capabilities, I'd definitely be interested.

 KAS Camilla Duvet Cover

Umm, YES PLEASE. I love the crisp white, all the shades of green, the pretty leafy pattern without being too girly or too busy. Love it. I dislike the pile of pillows, especially the smallest dark green pillow there in the middle, but I do like the green ones all the way against the headboard, and the white ones that have the same leaf pattern as the duvet.
I really don't need this, but I sure do want it.

WallVerbs Family Collection

In the event that I'd seen this in a lot of ads or in other people's homes, I probably wouldn't like it as much. However, this is the first time I've seen it and I really like it. You can't tell in the picture above, but each it's 9 separate pieces and the black tree parts are just as dimensional and chunky as the frames are. It's not like a wall decal, it's actual dimensional art. The picture in the BB&B ad is much better, as it actually shows it hanging on a wall in a living room set.

That concludes my current wish list at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Oh, and to any of you that shop there, hold on to the mailers you get with 20% off or $5 off of $15. BB&B will take them past their expiration date, so you can use them anytime!

  1. The ninja blender looks like something I would use. I love making smoothies!

  2. Forgive my impending snobbiness... ;) I have a VitaMix and I don't know that anything CAN compare. I love it! :)

I love that BB&B will take up to 5 coupons at a time. Did you know that? Awesome!!!

    Sophisticated Steps

  3. I know someone who bought that soda maker and they LOVE it! It looks like so much fun!! I also love the family picture frame.... if I were you I would do it yourself though! Get a couple cool frames at yard sales/goodwill and then stencil the leaves and family bit onto the wall!

  4. Hey Megan-
I thought I'd just comment back here too about your questions about baby sign. First off though, I liked your breastfeeding post. Way to go!! I am a huge advocate for breastfeeding...nothing beats mama's milk.

Regarding the sign, it's really never to early to start signing to them, and just sign when you say the word. Milk is obvious as you said, and more, I just say would you like more, sign more, and then give him more. Same with all done, if he starts throwing his food on the floor, I just ask, are you all done, and sign "all done" while I'm saying it. You'd be amazed how quickly they catch on! I think there are several baby sign books at the library. I have this one which uses ASL signs (which are the same signs most people who are deaf use).

GOOD LUCK! Holler if you have any other questions.

  5. I love that picture frame!!!
Also regarding Monica's above post, signs are super easy to use with babies. Our old roommate is deaf and has a little boy (Ayden). I met Clayton when Ayden was just under one. Ayden's not deaf but signs are way easier for kids to learn. At that point he knew more signs than words. Now Ayden (who is three) can speak sign language better than Clayton (who speaks sign language very well but not quite to translator level). I have a lot of friends who have used them with their children pretty young too.

  6. I have a ninja and I love it!! I have the food processer one and it works super well on anything. I don't use my blender anymore at all! I agree about the green makes the bedding look off in the picture!

  7. I have the SodaStream and I love it!! It lasts FOREVER. I got it for Christmas and I haven't needed a new CO2 thing yet. WOOHOO! It took me a little while to get used to it, but now I've gotten it to taste exactly like diet coke from Sonic/wherever!

  8. I love those sheets! I'm attracted to same kind of patterns, but I really care more about the thread count that anything else :)

  9. loooove the bedding! so pretty!!!!!!! Every so often they have some GREAT stuff! <3

  10. I keep those BBB coupons in my car. That way I always have one just in case I need to run in. :)

  11. we have been using a ninja blender (but the smaller one), and it makes amazing smoothies, but somehow the pitcher became cracked?! no idea how. so perhaps it's not the best quality.

  12. Thanks for stopping by! Wonderful to check out your blog. :) We both were teachers and our daughters are super close in age!

Hope your week is great! Looking forward to coming back and checking in.

p.s. I LOVE the family tree. Might just have to go and check that out! :)
