Dilemma....oh, and a winner

As you gathered from the title of this post, I'm facing quite the dilemma. (I used to never be able to spell dilemma correctly. I'm glad I've since learned!)

See, I don't like to just abandon my blog and leave it without any new postings. I like to have new posts go up everyday so that y'all don't forget about my little bitty blog. My blog is like a virtual version of a needy, attention-seeking child.

But at the same time, life is super busy right now, and I don't have time to sit down and write quality posts.

That means I can either ignore my blog for awhile, which I don't really want to do, or I can write some posts that are lacking the usual quality I like to have, which I don't really want to do either.

What's a girl to do?!

I guess a girl could share more pictures from our 6 month photo shoot.

And a girl could encourage you to go check out Sophisticated Steps. I've decided that Gail is my long-lost friend who unfortunately lives half a country away. She's pretty fabulous. Anyway, she wrote a post this week about a great organization called Feed My Starving Children. I have a huge soft spot for underprivileged children and Feed My Starving Children is doing lots of good. I'm glad she's working to spread the word about them.

Speaking of sharing random pictures, a girl should share these.

That there is some photo-graphic proof that I done some cleaning today. (that sentence should be read in a hick-like accent.) There is no way I was going to take a before picture of my microwave, but trust me, it really needed cleaned. And my kitchen sink was all nice and shiny for about 10 whole minutes.

And a girl could also announce the winner of the Sweaty Bands giveaway. I ended up with a total of 46 entries, and used the handy little random number generator at random.org.
Congratulations to Kara! I enjoyed reading what all your favorite fitness products were, and the Garmin was by far the most popular.
If and when I get serious about running, I'm really going to want a Garmin too. For now, I'm happy with my ipod.
For those of you who didn't win, I'll have another giveaway and chance for you to win on Monday. Be sure to check it out!

  1. I'd rather short posts then no posts at all! I often find myself in the same dilemma however I don't have cute kids to put in short posts to make them worthwhile!

Wow. This is a very long comment. I tend to do that. Probably why I have a blog. I can't keep all my thoughts to myself. Haha!

  10. Those pictures are adoorable! But I guess that's because you have two adorable girls in them!! I love the 2nd and 3rd one. I just posted about this same dilemma. I think whatever works best for YOU is what you should do. I decided to post 2-3 times a week instead of almost everyday, but that's because that works for me.

  14. Hi, Megan! Since you stopped by my blog, I thought I'd do the same and stop by yours. Your girls are adorable! And you're so lucky to stay at home with them. Funny you're in Kansas...I'm in Missouri and am a teacher as well!

I can totally relate to this post. While I love blogging and reading others' blogs, sometimes it all seems so overwhelming when you're trying to balance so much else. As a new reader :) I'll be back to read no matter the frequency. Take any time you need!

By the way, was reading your profile and saw you like the Hunger Games series. I'm nearly done with the first book and love it!

OK...done with this ridiculously long comment!

I blog to store memories. I blog so when I die someday my children, grandchildren, etc can read my blog books (which I'm BEYOND behind on making) can know ME!!! What's your "why I blog?" once you fig that out focus on it and you'll be happy :)
