Fill in the blank busy Friday

Y'all, I feel so behind right now. My house is a mess, I have a 4 ft pile of laundry that needs folding, one half that size that needs washing, a dishwasher that needs emptied, and I'm behind on my blogging and blog reading. And no, I did not watch the royal wedding, and yes, my life is still complete.

Isabelle and I tried to stay gone for a few hours yesterday while our roof was being removed and a new one put on, but there's only so much you can do out and about with a baby before you feel like a terrible mom for dragging your sleepy kiddo around, trying to kill time. We ended up coming home in the afternoon and just lived through the roofing sounds. Today is quiet, and I'm loving it.

Now for a little fill in the blank Friday, and then I must go do some chores.

1.   I am looking forward to      tonight!! I always complain that my little mid-sized city doesn't have much to offer or much to do, but once a month we have an event called 'Final Friday' that takes place downtown and tons of different art galleries and independent little stores are open to display art by local artists. While I enjoy the art somewhat, I more just enjoy being out and walking around and enjoying time with my family.

2.  Something kind of embarassing that I still love anyway is   eating raw cookie dough or cake batter. I feel like it's totally acceptable as a child, but that you should "grow out of that phase" as an adult. For example, I don't remember either of my parents ever eating any raw dough, and when I bake now, my husband always declines too. I'd almost rather have the dough over the baked good.

3.  My favorite car is    for years, I've loved and wanted a Lexus RX 330. It's very much out of our budget though.

4.  If I could pick one type of weather to live with for the rest of my life it would be   summertime year round!! I have no use for cold weather. I don't enjoy it, at all. I like sunshine and getting to be outside. Plus I love wearing sundresses :) I also really love being tan.

5.  My favorite thing to do after a bad/stressful day is    take a nap, if I'm sleepy, or if not, snuggle up with a good book and a delicious dessert. yes, I am a stereotypical woman.

6.  This weekend       will be busy! We're going out tonight, like I said, and will be getting up early Saturday to go to the farmer's market and Kaylee's soccer game. Sunday will be another early day, as we'll be going to a half marathon to cheer on one of my best friends. She's going to rock that race!

7.  If I were a color, I'd be       pink or aqua     because,       those are my favorite colors. Notice most of my blog is in shades of pink and aqua. Those were also my wedding colors.

Now I need to know,
What's something embarrassing that you love?

I'll be back this afternoon, to announce a winner from the TruKid giveaway share my photo Friday pics :)

  1. I am so with you on the good book and dessert--I have a cold and all I want to do is curl up on the couch with my newest book and a frappucino.

    Have a fun weekend! :)

  2. Love it! We did unity sand at our wedding, too. I must ask, how do you store yours now? Ours is in a heart shaped vase....so I can't really put a lid on it, and it gets really dusty ....but I don't know how I can safely clean the top of the vase without risking disturbing the sand. Does that make any sense at all?! lol
    Happy Friday!

  4. SO GLAD that I am not the only one not giving into this Royal Wedding stuff. The only thing I care about is the fashion, which I am getting from E!'s Fashion Police tonight. (I wish Joan Rivers was my grandma.)

Something embarrassing that I love? The Spice Girls. And I am not ashamed.

I really love celebrity gossip. That's not too embarrassing, but my level of knowledge is pretty embarrassing. :)

  7. I love Kansas farmers markets! I've visited my friend in KC a few times, and I'm blown away by the food. So jealous of you! :) Something I'm embarrased by? Whenever I'm at an event that has apps, I'm that cow stuffing her mouth rather than socializing. Forget the bar, I'll have some mini quesadillas. LOL!

  9. lol I love raw cookie dough too and Clayton, Aubrey, and I ALL lick the cake batter.
Mmmmm.... something I love but shouldn't? I occasionally really love drinking a tiny bit of pickle juice. Not all the time and not very much but I'm fairly certain that the answer should be I don't do it ever.

  10. bring on the good book and desert! For some reason though, nowadays I skip right to the desert part.
I'm so jealous that you're going to a farmers market. I love them, and wish we had one nearby as well.
    Happy weekend friend!

  11. No shame in eating cookie batter or cake batter! Brownie batter is my personal favorite. :-) And all that raw egg stuff has been debunked, so you don't even have to fear salmonella! Hooray!

I don't think you should be sad you missed it, but I L-O-V-E-D watching the royal wedding at 3 a.m. today. I'm not much of a girly girl, except in small doses, but I just loved everything about it. :-) That's slightly embarrassing.

  15. I admit I caved and recorded the Royal wedding, However I have no intention of watching all 4 Hrs (Thanks to whoever invented the DVR) I just want to see her dress and pretty much yeah thats it. All the Hype over the past several months has been REALLY annoying.

I love cookie dough. (though you knew that) and my something Embarrassing .... I have a teddy bear that I've had since I was born. I'm hopeless I know but hey what ya gonna do.

  16. I turned on NBC for like 10 minutes this morning, and that was good enough for me. I did record it, but probably won't watch it. I LOVE BRAVO reality shows. They are like a train wreck, you can't turn away. Now we don't get that channel anymore which is a blessing in disguise, because I can't watch. If it is a show I REALLY like I will find it online to watch.

I love cake batter too! I have no shame in taking a paddle from my 3 year old to get a taste for myself!

  17. mmm i love cookie dough and cake batter too. and now that you mention it, my parents never ate it either. oh well. i always tell my 4 year old she can't eat alot of cake batter because it will hurt her tummy, which is true. but i only allow her 2 spoon fulls so i can eat the rest. :)

  18. OMG. I totalllllly eat cookie dough and cake batter. My mom and I used to have special Friday nights every few months! She'd call it 'special porridge' and she'd make the cake batter and then put it in the fridge for us and we'd totally eat way more than we should have. Then we'd stay up late and watch Disney movies :) And you get so tan !!!

  20. Something embarrassing that I love...where do I begin?
I grew up watching Princes William and Harry growing up. I always wondered who he would marry. I DVR'd the entire Royal Wedding and watched the entire thing yesterday, which explains why my laundry and dishes are even more backed up than yours!
My mom still eats more cookie dough than cookies, so don't feel like you have to "grow out of it". :-)
