Yes, that's right. I'm am still alive. Just blatantly absent from my blog.
I've missed blogging - writing posts, choosing just the right pictures, sharing fun details of our lives, connecting with you, reading your blogs, all that stuff - but life has been busy, and I just don't feel that I can make my blog a priority. It's a hobby, and something I enjoy, but it's definitely an optional thing as opposed to a necessity. I'm sure y'all understand!
Anyway, we're been busy with all the usual things, nothing out of the ordinary to report.
On one cold winter day, with nothing better to do, mommy decided it was time for little miss to have her first manicure. It was messy, and definitely not perfect, but cute nonetheless.
My best friend got the girls a matching outfit for Christmas. Kaylee is just barely still young enough to think this is awesome. This was their first matching outfit, and we've since bought two more. While it's kind of silly to see kids 7 years apart in the same clothes, I do think it's pretty darn cute!
We went to the mall and rode the carousel. I love the look of joy on Isabelle's face! Don't you love the happiness?!
At the ripe old age of only 17 months, Isabelle already has a fake smile. This is what I got when I called at her to smile:
Kaylee and Isabelle were all ready for a laundry basket ride!
Isabelle is a really good shopper. She's so good about riding in the cart, and staying content and not throwing fits. But that's not to say she doesn't get weary sometimes. Look at this tired little face.
We stopped at Baby Gap last week to see if there were any new must have items. Isabelle found something she just couldn't live without. Babygirl is super stylish!
Anyway, I can't make any promises about my return to blogging, but I do hope to maintain a regular presence here.
And tell me, what was something that made you smile today?

oooh, the suspense is killing me! Do I have threaded comments now??
ReplyDeleteYES!
DeleteWelcome back!!! I've missed you and hearing about your adorable girls! Love the matching outfits, and is Isabelle wearing Toms?!?! SO cute!! I really want to paint Gwen's nails, but I feel like they would go STRAIGHT into her mouth lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks, love! Yup, those are tiny toms on Isabelle. Too cute, right?!
DeleteSo now I'm curious...when I reply to your comment, do you get an email letting you know I did??
Great to see you back! Isabelle is getting so big!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you are doing well... Love looking at pictures of your adorable girls.
ReplyDeletethat fake smile certainly made me smile today! i've missed you!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Isabelle on the carousel - so precious. And love the fake smile - I'd even take a fake smile from Landon if he would just turn and look at the camera!
ReplyDeleteMade me smile to see you updated! I've missed your blog!
It was great to hear from you. I have a bit of an obsession with dressing my girls the same, or at least complementary...when they let me. Sadly my influence is slowly coming to an end.
ReplyDeleteYou're back in action, Megan! Love it! I can't get over that picture of her on the carousel. Melts my heart! It's refreshing to see a little one so darn happy! Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful girls you have. They look like they are a lot of fun! Btw, thanks for your comment on my blog. I think you convinced me to try the spinach smoothie. If I am actually brave enough to do it I will blog about it and make sure I give you and Kara full credit :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment!
DeleteAnd believe me, I am someone with a sweet tooth to the max. None of
this 'oh I had a delicious apple for dessert' kind of stuff. And I'm
here to say that adding spinach to your smoothie truly doesn't alter
the taste at all. Be brave!
love all the pics your girls are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love that shopping cart picture!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! The "fake smile" one makes me laugh. Both my kids do it and it drives me nuts!
