Hi! I'm Megan. Welcome to my blog! I'm glad you're here :)
I'm a 26 year old wife to Wayne, and mommy to Kaylee (7 years old) and Isabelle (7 months old).
Thanks to my hardworking husband, I'm fortunate enough to get to stay home with my little Isabelle. I love getting to be a stay at home mom, and wouldn't change it for the world.
Prior to baby #2, I was a teacher. I've been a teacher for students with special needs, a 5th grade teacher at a private school, and a preschool teacher to some of the sweetest and craziest kids you could imagine. I loved having a job that enabled me to work with kids everyday. A downside, though, is that I was often mistaken for one of my 5th grade students.
Now I spend my days making milk, changing diapers, reading board books, helping with homework, cooking dinner, volunteering at Kaylee's school, making far too many trips to the grocery store to see how much money I can save with sales and coupons, and occasionally doing a load of laundry or washing some dishes.
On this blog, you'll find a little of everything. Obviously there will be talk of my children, and plenty of pictures to go along.
I will also be sharing recipes, because this girl likes to eat. It's definitely one of my favorite activities. Click on My Recipes tab to check them out!
In addition to kids and cooking, if I happen to find a spare minute, I love to spend it reading. I read on a kindle (which I love!) and try to share my book reviews on the blog as well.
Once Isabelle's a little older, I'd like to take up running. I say "I'd like to" even thought I really don't like the idea of it. I have a huge mental dislike of running, that is totally illogical. I just know I enjoy staying active, and I love to be outside, so it seems like a good option.
I've always been active. While I was in college, taking 21 credit hours a semester, working part time, and being a mother to one of the most amazing blessings I've been given, I was also a cheerleader. It fulfilled all the fitness needs that needed to be fulfilled.
Picture was cut and darkened to protect the innocent
who no longer admit to being cheerleaders :)
While I enjoy writing and using my blog to document all the little things that are important to my family, I also like being a part of the blogging community. I read way more blogs than I should probably admit to, and I leave comments where ever I go. I read all the comments that you leave here, and love getting to connect with you!
So, stay and have a look around!
